Training packages

KGL is committed to providing premier security to our clients. We can only do this if our employees are fully equipped for the service we have pledged to provide. Further to recruiting the best candidates available, we give all our personnel the correct, relevant and beyond industry standard training for the tasks they are required to perform.

KGL continues to lead the industry in the development of our staff. Under the Security Industry Authority regulations, all officers are required to successfully complete four days basic job training before they can obtain a SIA license. At KGL we go beyond this and also insist that all applicants take a Basic Skills Agency assessment which ensures that they have the literacy and verbal communication skills necessary to carry out their work.

Once a new recruit has joined us, they undergo site specific training to familiarise them with the contract. New officers are fully monitored and supported for their first three months and are allocated a ‘buddy’ to whom they can direct any queries. Once this probationary period has been successfully completed each officer is given a training file and is entered onto the Training Database. Their KGL Career Development Programme then begins.

KGL appreciates that each contract has individual prerequisites regarding training for their officers. This is why we always create bespoke modules determined by client requirements, which form the cornerstone of the officer’s training plan.

 

 

Training Courses on offer include the following:

KGL has invested in our own bespoke National Open College Network Approved Training Centre, which enables us to offer additional training opportunities to our staff. This is overseen by our experienced Learning & Development Manager, Dominic Orby.

KGL’s training facility is also open to external applicants, be it those new to the industry who wish to get licensed or current security professionals looking to further their career.
